I keep calling this my Folklore Farm Dress. It makes me think of wallpaper you would find in a farmhouse from an old fairy tale. I cut this dress last summer. Then it sat idle since I figured it wouldn’t fit around my winter weight. Finally, I decided to just put the zipper in with as much seam allowance as I could offer and turns out it fits better than I thought!
The bodice is from a corset pattern (I think a McCalls?) and the skirt is a simple a-line. It’s made of a looser woven sort of fabric so I stabilized it with a lightweight interfacing and lined it with some secondhand polyesters.
