There really isn’t anything new or exciting to mention in regards to the garden. Lots and lots of beans. Peppers. A few radishes. A few tomatoes.
Sometimes, I fear my outfit posts are a little deceptive. I tend to take photos when I get dolled up (which is when I go into town or just feel like fancying up my day a little—and have the time and energy to do so.) This is closer to what I look like most days. Jeans and a t-shirt. Hair up and frizzing out like crazy. Glasses on. Bean leaves embellishing my shirt. Muddy boots. Sporting really poor posture. Exhausted but content. Same old, same old.
We bought about 100 ears of corn and did that up for freezing on Friday night.
All the mums around here are looking lovely. I must say, they are quickly becoming a favorite flower of mine.
What have you been growing?

I wish I could get a bean harvest like yours out of my garden!1 I just got a pretty big haul (biggest yet!) yesterday and totally have some gret plans for next years garden!! what do you guys like to do with your green beans? I have been saving mine in the freezer until I get enough to make a big bowl worth for dinner, but I’m thinking about pickling some too…

We usually just steam them or roasted them for dinner. A lot gets frozen though. Pickling them sounds great!

I love your boots! My green beans, peppers, zucchini, cucumbers and patty pan squash are still in full supply mode! My tomatoes are actually just turning, due to getting them in late because of our vacation. Beautiful photos!

How great, that you’re still yielding so much! I’m jealous. I already miss our cucumbers!

I love this outfit pic way more than most of these types of posts. It’s honest and you don’t look posed at all. Plus I love your garden. I’m inspired to do better next year.

If it stops raining at some point this weekend, we need to harvest and freeze our beans too. Plus more tomato sauce, more fried tomatoes.. But I never did get around to buying corn to freeze. Funny how not doing that one thing makes me feel like I failed at something this year.

Hope you end up getting your hands on some corn to freeze. :) And now you’ve got me wanting some fried tomatoes!

Your blog is absolutely fabulous! And your pictures are worth a 1000 words! I envy you’re vegetable garden… I just started a little garden is my california backyard and am harvesting tomatoes on a daily basis! More pictures of the boots and the fab veggies, – in my opinion the real deal is better then the made up stuff! Looking forward to many more of your fab blogs!
