It feels like I’ve put a ton of time into this and not gotten very far. Knitting is like that, isn’t it? Like the tortoise—slow and steady wins the race. It’s enjoyable, luckily.
One of the branches of our county library moved to a larger location, so my Mom and I, while out the other day, stopped in. I made a beeline for 745, the crafty section. I ended up taking home two books (this one and this one) and am now wishing my yarn stash and bank account were a little larger so I could give some of the projects a whirl.
Tomorrow I’ll share the next tutorial for the Quilt Series.

Oooh. Those gray stitches are gorgeous, Liesl. I know what you mean about feeling like a tortoise, though. On the bus this morning I felt like I was knitting with toothpicks–I had tiny needles and cold, clumsy fingers. But, the finished product is SO worth it!

Holy nuts, is that the February Lady sweater? I have one that has been in progress for about two years, because that lace pattern kills me and I can only get through about two rows before I start to lose my mind. And aren’t you just starting to knit? I’m so jealous of your talent!! :)

The more I craft, the more I appreciate the process — even if it takes a long time to see results. I’m impressed with your ability to pick up knitting. For the record — crocheting gives speedier results (maybe that’s why I’m hooked).

oh my goodness, knitting is hard! Correction: purling is hard! I’ve had all of two knitting lessons, the first I thought purling was easier, now I think knitting is easier and can’t purl for the life of me. how do you do it!? LOL
