If there is one thing I’m not, it’s chatty. Seriously, if you ask anyone who knows me to describe me in one word, I’d bet $100 they would say “shy.” So how I’ve amassed over 600 posts here on my blog is a wonder. Yup, I hit my 600th post recently! I decided a little celebration was in order.
Spring has sprung here and I have been cleaning and organizing in a frenzy. I’ve come across many fabric scraps I can do without. But maybe you’d like them?
All you have to do for a chance to have this box of goodness show up on your doorstep is leave a comment here on this post. It’d be great if the comment was about something, like a little story or quote or whatnot. But if you’re shy, like me, a “Hi” will do.

I really do love doing giveaways. I’ve said it many times that I’m not too great at winning them but I sure love to host them. But I can’t afford to do them as often as I’d like. So I was thinking, if any of you want to do an interview/giveaway on my blog, contact me! I don’t get a ton of traffic like the big bloggers, but I get some. And maybe your little shop or blog would like some of that traffic. I can’t guarantee I’ll take on everyone anyone, but try me!

I have a story for you.
I live in university housing, so most of my neighbors are from other countries, and I just love learning from them.
I have become very good friends with one Indian lady who has two daughters, ages 7 and 2. The two year old wears silver ankle bells, so whenever they are walking anywhere near my door I can hear her approaching jingle. That gives me time to open the door and surprise her, at which time she usually yells, “Miss Sarah!” And then gives me a flower she has picked, or tells me that she is a pig and I am a tiger, or recently, “On my birthday I will be 5, and then I’ll be big like you!”

I recently found your blog when I had seen pictures somewhere of the folded start trivet. I just love the way those look so I wanted to check it out. I liked reading the stuff you’ve done so I decided to stick around and subscribe via email too. I don’t think anyone would describe me a shy. Maybe about 30 yrs ago but certainly not now. LOL Maybe that’s what happens when you had two divorces and three boys to raised on your own. HA

Hey there! I’ll say more than “HI.” I just completed yet another craftbook challenge. You are giving me the nudge to try new things. I definitely needed that. Also, I wanted to let you know that in the new edition of Sunset Magazine there is an all Vegan restaurant in Berkeley called “Gather” and they have two of his recipes in the article. The chef is Sean Baker and the recipes are for “Fennel and Orange dressing” and also “Chickpea cake with fava leaves and arugula salad”.
